Length Guide
Check product descriptions as each design will vary.
Our standard necklaces are in general a "princess length" 42-45cm depending on the style and design. In most cases I can custom the length to suit you. The length includes a connector ring, our standard 10mm parrot clasp, 2 wire guardians and crimps - please note, if the design contains an alternative clasp, it will not be included in the length and the length will be measures from the connectors. When in doubt, measure a necklace you like the length of and add it to the notes at checkout, or feel free to contact me to discuss.
The length can vary by 10mm due the nature of natural materials.
Bracelets
Adult sized bracelets are made to approximately 15cm in length (including the clasp) and a 4cm extension chain is added so the size is adjustable, and the chain also helps you to be able to attach the clasp solo!
If you require a custom size, or would like a bracelet with a bolt clasp, magnet clasp etc where an extension chain cannot be added:
Wrap a tape measure (or piece of string) snugly around your wrist, then add 1-2cm for comfort.
XS: 14-15cm | S: 15-16cm | M: 16-17cm | L: 17-18.5cm | XL: 18.5-20cm
(my bracelet size is 17.5cm for example)
What metals are used?
Our standard findings are made from Silver or Gold Plated Metal. Where available, I choose findings with an e-coating to help with tarnish resistance. Tarnish resistance needs to be cared for and is NOT tarnish proof, please check our Care Guide
If a piece uses other metals, such as Gold Filled or 925 Sterling Silver - this upgrade will always be disclosed in the product description.
What's the difference between Gold/Silver Plated and Gold Filled/925 Sterling Silver? Plated: A thin layer of colour over a brass or stainless steel base. Where possible, I use findings treated with a tarnish-resistant e-coating for extra protection. Resistance does not mean non-tarnish!! Plated pieces aren't waterproof, and chemicals like chlorine, oils, and perfume will wear down the coating over time, eventually exposing the metal underneath. Following our care instructions will help keep the metallic elements looking their best.
Gold Filled & 925 Sterling Silver: Gold Filled contains a thicker layer of real gold (minimum 5%), and 925 sterling is 92.5% Silver. These can oxidize over time (known as patina), and a polishing cloth can help restore their original shine. Given the value of gold and silver, these are more of an investment, which is why we use them in our heirloom pieces. We are happy to upgrade any of our pieces to Gold Filled or Sterling Silver.
Gemstones and pearls are NOT waterproof, which is why I’ve opted for these findings as our base standard metal, as well being able to provide value, accessibility and range.
What is your return policy?
All custom orders are final sale. Before I finish your custom piece, you will be contacted to confirm you're happy with the design before it ships.
Faulty items can be returned for a repair or replacement within 14 days of receiving your order.
We want you to be completely happy with your piece - if anything's not quite right, get in touch and I'll do my best to find a solution.
Do you offer repairs accidents happen later on?
Yes! I use high-quality stainless steel wire to make sure pieces are strong and sturdy, but they're not life-proof. I'm happy to repair damaged Gemstate pieces to the best of my ability (provided materials are still available and only minimal gemstones are missing). Simply ship the piece back to me - return postage is covered by you.
